Today continues to be productive. The first thank you to Ray: With my early morning coffee, who should appear but Ray who just concluded his daily walk through the park. It was such a great day, that I decided this is what I should be doing. So later on, off I went. Did I start off easy like maybe a half hour or 1 mile? Nooo. Not me. One hour and 3 miles later, I sat and was quite pleased with my accomplishment....aches notwithstanding.
Below are some of the beautiful sights that I enjoyed along the way.
Pine Cones in Stages of Development |
Along the magnificent and beautiful Hudson River |
How could picnicking get any better? |
Hmm. Are those leaves changing color? |
"A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work" And no, that's not George |
Did you notice there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Just a beautiful day to walk. The second thank you to Ray comes from the fact that problem with my fresh water valve was fixed by Ray. A simple switching of a stripped plastic toggle piece allows me now to fill my fresh water tank (in case I ever need it). A waste of time, fuel, and aggravation averted.
A productive day, I hit the sack around midnight and began reading Travels with Charley. Steinbeck's adventure took place in 1962 when he was 58. Me? I was a "wise fool", a sophmore attending Marist College in Poughkeepsie, age 20, My how things have changed in the next 52 years. We shall see if my writings can reflect the evolution of the changes. Good night.
