The End of a Great Adventure in Maine

(Disregard previous post)

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end.  Winnie was right at home nestled in among the birches.
Aside from the rigmarole that is associated with breaking down your RV's setup, there's the sadness associated with "calling it a day."  My time spent at the Searsport Shores Oceanfront Campground was terrific.  Looking at my older blog posts, I've captured the notable sights; you've been made aware of the incredible weather I've enjoyed.  Only one overcast day with a few sprinkles; and naturally, the great dining experiences:

The Nautilus in Belfast

The Docksider in Northeast Harbor  Info and Reviews

Delvino's Grill and Pasta House in Belfast with Tom, Margaret, and Angie (bad shot, sorry Angie)
John & Barb

Margaret & Barb's brother Tom

Dining at J&B's (John & Barbara)

I applied for and received a pass to go down to the shore.

Daughter, Angie, traveled down and able to make the homemade dinner

Caprese salad

I had to sneak this photo of the caprese salad because the tomato was from their garden as were the string and pole beans that accompanied the meal.  John has an aversion to anything technological (like taking pictures), so I refrained from photographing the incredible, lightly breaded and broiled flounder in a lemon and white wine sauce he prepared.  I would have loved to arrange these photos in a more artistic fashion but that's another thing that pisses me off about the blogging program.

In addition to all of the above, there were visits in Camden for shopping and a stop at Mount Battie

Then, for my last meal--a brunch--, we met at Darby's restaurant in Belfast.  We parted company around noon and off I went.  Round trip: 760 miles, travel time:  about 7 hours each way.

See you September 22nd
