Days 16 - 21 Del Ray Beach, FL-Thursday

Del-Raton RV Park 2/3/2015 - 2/92015
2998 S. Federal Hwy
Del Ray Beach, FL 33483

Thursday's entry:

I was greeted this morning with the sound of distant, rolling thunder to the west (inland). About 7:30 a.m. I retracted my awning and put away chairs and sure enough, a typical Florida storm arrived; a torrential downpour with high wind gusts.  Vents and windows were closed so there I was, a cozy sardine in a can listening to Mother Nature's Snare Drum Concerto on the fiberglass roof that lasted about a half hour.  The gentle swaying of Winnie in the wind lent itself to the feeling aboard a ship at sea.  No coffee spilled.  Loved it!

Tonight's dining adventure was at  Arrabiatas Italian Restaurant.  I was picked up by Scott and Kori and driven 20 minutes north to the restaurant.  I tried to schedule this dinner date to coincide with the schedules of a lot of busy, working people.  My cousin's grandson, Scott's birthday is Saturday.  I wasn't able to attend an engagement party held for him and fiancé, Kori, in January, so, to celebrate both, my gift to them was to treat them and all who are near and dear to them with a great meal at their favorite Italian restaurant.  Cousins Camille and Norma will be driving up from Boca Raton (20 minutes south), while the others (Scott, Kori, David, Cheri, Shannon, and Derek) live in the Boynton Beach area.  As mentioned, this is why I am staying in this RV park more or less central to all.

The restaurant, as usual, was crowded, the food portions were huge and delicious.  From what I can remember, I've labeled our meals:
Pounded veal on the bone with broccoli rabe,
mushrooms in a Marsala sauce.

Filet of sole on angel hair pasta and artichoke hearts
in a lemon cream sauce.

RIGATONI BOLOGNESE
Hearty meat sauce with a touch of heavy cream

Chicken Marsala

A chicken dish

RIGATONI BOLOGNESE

Boneless chicken breast w/ potatoes, peppers, \
onions & sausage in garlic white wine sauce

Desert and coffee was enjoyed at Scott and Kori's apartment to celebrate Scott's 25th birthday.
