Days 16-21 - Del Ray Beach, FL

Del-Raton RV Park 2/3/2015 - 2/92015
2998 S. Federal Hwy
Del Ray Beach, FL 33483

Monday entry:

My last breakfast in Clermont with Vicki/George.
A potato frittata w/bacon; I made it with eggs,
potatoes, minced onions, and Parmesan cheese.
Flipping that beauty was my
 crowning achievement.
I'm writing this portion of the blog prior to my arrival in Del Ray.  I can't imagine what this RV site is going to be like as it seems to be in the middle of the city, complete with major commercial establishments all around.  S. Federal Hwy is Rte 1, so that should give you an idea.  I chose this site because of its proximity to my other Florida friends/relatives: Jim and Missie, Norma and Camille, Scott and Kori, David, Cheri, and Shannon. It has 3 reviews, all very favorable.  I'm looking forward to meeting Michelle who has been very accommodating with me making sure I had a site in a very full RV Park.

It's Monday, 2/2nd and I'm due to arrive Tuesday, after 1:00 pm. I will make errand stops at the Chase Bank and Publix before settling in at the RV Park.

It's Groundhog Day and unfortunately for the folks back home, Phil saw his shadow and 6 more weeks of winter await.  Gee, I may have to stay longer to avoid more bad weather.  As I write this, Hen Hud schools are closed and the forecast reads:
Freezing rain and snow. Total snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches. Additional ice accumulation of up to one half of an inch. Cold with highs in the mid 20s. Northeast winds around 10 mph... Becoming north with gusts up to 25 mph this afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Hang in there folks.  They do mention the "S" word for a couple of days this week but no biggies.  More tomorrow.

  1. Glad to hear/see that you are all settled in at your new campground. Please tell all your friends/family that we send our best regards. BTW, that frittata was one of the best I've ever tasted. Thanks so much. Lucy said she misses you already.

As always, have fun and safe travels.
